Volunteer Opportunities



Fall 2018, we will be starting up a 50+ group again. If you are interest in joining this group or helping out in one way or another (ie. organizing activities, games, leading devotionals, etc.) please contact Mary Rempel.


We are looking for different people to host our guest speakers for lunch after Sunday services. This can be either in your home or take the speaker out to a restaurant.  If you are interested in hosting a speaker please contact the office.


We are in need of someone who loves to help out teams and serve the Worship Team and others that arrive at the church at 7:00am on Sundays.  You will be organizing and serving these volunteers food to hold them over until lunch time.  Please contact the office if you are interested


Grace Baptist Church is in need of a few First Aiders to have at the church on Sunday mornings, and ready to go and help out as needed when situations arise. If you have your First Aid Certificate and would like to help out please contact the office.


The Worship Team is in need of instrumentalists, vocalists, sound techs, & media tech people. If you are gift in any of these areas, would like to serve, use your talents & gifts within a church setting, please contact Pastor Jay for more information.  Pastor Jay is even willing to train the technicians also.


Roger Ayriss, our new Building & Grounds Maintenance, is recruiting volunteers for various projects that occur around the church from time to time. If you feel led to help out in any way (including: electrician, plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc.) please contact Roger Ayriss


If you are interested in serving in a way that you can welcome new people on Sunday mornings, make them feel at home, love to meet new people, then please join the "Welcome Team".  Looking for a Team Lead as well. Contact the office for more information.


A church usher is a person who helps ensure a smoothly running church service and who ministers to people in a variety of practical ways. The specific responsibilities of an usher usually include greeting people as they arrive for the service, assisting people with special needs, security, and collecting the offering. For more info on the role of an usher, visit this website. If you would like to join the Welcome Team as a volunteer usher, please contact the office via email 


A wonderful way to reach our community with the love of Jesus is to volunteer at Bethany Care Airdrie by ministering in the following areas:
1) To assist residents to and from weekly worship services on Wednesday afternoons.
2) To visit residents as Pastoral care visitors.
3) Visit residents who are palliative.
Training and support is provided  through volunteer services and Pastoral care.
